Just a little breeze

Right now we're having a two hour delay just because we have a little breeze. Okay I think it's more than just a little breeze. There have been a few reports about 50 mph winds. The temperature is plunging just over an hour ago the temperature was in the 50s. Now it's around 30.

Broken

Today I went to the orthapedist and it turns out that it really is broken. Three of my meditarsul bones are broken. The doctors at the emergency room mistaked my breaks for growth plates. Now Jared can feel even worse about what happened to me.

Today is my is Audra's Birthday. I keep telling her that she should post on her blog about it. However she still won't listen.

Day overview

Day of the week: Monday

Ups: Telling people that I got hit by a bus when they asked about my foot.

Downs: It was hard to get people to carry my books for me, hard to open doors, hard to get to class on time, catching up on things I missed, being tired,

Neutral: Started new schedule, watched Ratatouille during lunch.

Overall rating out of ten: 3

Word rating: Bad Day

Extra notes: It was hard to carry books around. Mom said that it would be easy to find people. Jared, Sam, Kayla, seemed to be the only people who volunteered to help. Unfortunately those few people weren't in many of my classes. All other people that helped me I had to ask.

It is very exhausting walking on crutches. By the time afternoon came I was so tired I felt as if I could have taken a nap. When you walk on crutches you go extremely slow. Trying to make it to class on time is definitely an issue.

One period I had no one to carry my folders to socials studies. I basically had to limp to class.

An almost break

In gym class we were doing sumo. We were trying to push our opponent out of the ring. Jared and I decided to be partners. The first time we did it, it was fine. I was quick to act and easily pushed Jared out of the ring. The second time however, wasn't so great. Jared pushed me almost to the edge. I tried twisting him around and tried forcing him to step out of the ring first. Instead my elbow hit the ground first. While we fell out of the ring, Jared fell on my left foot. It hurt incredibly bad. I was wincing in pain and rolling on the ground. I think I know now how football players feel when they get injured on the football field.

My Gym teacher then called the nurse, while I waited outside. It seemed to take forever for her to come. Eventually my gym teacher just wheeled me down in a roley chair. From the nurse's office I went to dad's work since mom currently was out of town discussing matters about grad school. My foot was swelling up and it hurt to put any pressure on it.

After watching Toy Story 2, (basically the only thing they had) I went to Sam's house. Sam unfortunately was not there because he was at all county orchestra. Sam has currently broken a toe. Please do not think I was trying to copy him. Sam's dad is a surgeon who took a look at my foot. He recommended it be X-rayed.

We then took my sisters home and went off to the emergency room. It didn't take long to wait for a doctor to take the X-ray or for the doctors to wheel me off to a room. It was then the time we had to wait. My mother and I passed the time away by taking pictures of my foot. Kind of weird I guess. The doctor kind of walked in at an awkward time. I don't think we left a very good impression. I mean, who takes pictures of feet?

It turns out that there was no break but a lot of strain on my foot or in other words it was almost broken. They gave me a soft cast and some crutches. Honestly I think I look ridiculous with crutches. Crutches are extremely annoying and this cast is really painful. I really want to move my ankle around but this cast doesn't let me. Moral of the story "Fear the sumo"!!!!

Rolling Pennies

Today in sci fi club we watched "The twilight zone". It was pretty amazing. We watched a very interesting episode called "A pennie for you thoughts. In the episode a man flip a coin and it landed on it side. When doing this he all of a sudden, got the power to read people's mind.

So now I'm going to flip pennies until I get one that lands on it's side. I bet that's how Xaiver from X-men got his power.

However, at the end he went to the same place he had flipped the coin and accidently knock it over so he lost his power to read minds. It was a neat episode.

Social studies Poll

In social studies we are learning about our federal government. Since the primaries are coming up, our teacher gave us a poll to have people take. I thought I might as well do it on my blog. It may help to live in New York and be old enough to vote.

Are you registered to vote?
Did you vote in the last Pres. election?
Do you know when NY's primary is?
Do you plan on voting in NY's primary?
Why or why not?

"I have a dream"

It's easy in our day of age, to forget about Martin. Our generation seems to take racial equality for granted. It doesn't seem like such a big deal now that everything has changed. It's pretty easy to assume that he was popular and everyone liked him and everyone totally agreed with what he said.
Those things however were not true. It's not often you'll find someone who doesn't care about what the world thinks and is willing to take a stand for what they believe in. Martin found it hard to find many people that agreed with him. He was arrested numerous times, people threatened to blow up his house, riots often stormed outside his house, and he was eventually assassinated. He was the opposite of popular. He did all that just to do what was right.
This kind of reminds me of a man named Paul (a.k.a. Saul). God gave him a second chance and he started spreading the gospel. He too stopped caring what other people thought. He was beaten and tortured and thrown in Jail for doing what's right even though everyone else was else was doing wrong.
Right before Martin's death, Martin started working on things like poverty and arguments between countries. He never really got a chance to finish the job. Right now the poverty level is extremely high and even at this moment people all over the world are fighting just because they're from different backgrounds. I guess that's kind of where we need to pick up.

coincidence?

Today in science we were talking about mitosis. Our teacher was talking about how when we lose cells from our body, our body makes sure to replace them with the right kind of cell. For example, if one of our skin cells dies our body doesn't replace it with a liver or a brain cell instead it replaces it with another skin cell.

This kind of got me thinking. How could you believe in this and believe in evolution. You would have to believe that our body just happens to run perfectly and knows what kind of cell to replace each dead cell with. If you think about it, we could have evolved in to a creature that doesn't replace dead cells with the correct kind cell. We could have evolved in to a creature that replaced dead skin cells with liver cells. We needed a creator (God) to make us perfect.

Many people don't believe in God because they can't see him. It's kind of like believing in the wind. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it's not there. We know that there's wind because we see all that it effects. We see leaves blowing and when we step outside hair is blown in our face. It's the same with God. We can also see all that God effects. Christianity is the most popular religion. This world is so perfect there must of been a god. God has changed millions of people's lives and has made a ton of prophesies that are coming true as we speak.

Weekend update

This is my weekend update where I update you about my weekend. Very exciting, I know.

Yesterday, I ran in a 5k race out in irondaquoit down by the lake. It took me about 24 minutes to comeplete the race and I came in 4th in my age group. Manly because the did 19 and under and I didn't statnd much of a chance.

After that my family went to my grandma's and grandpa's house. My cousins (martha's children) were there.

After that, we bought me new sneekers because my old ones were way too small. I went from a size 5 to a size 7. It also turns out that my left foot is bigger than my right.

That evening my dad and I watched the Pats and jaguars game. I want the Patriots to lose so bad but pats still won. 31 to 20.

Today we went to church and nothing abnormal happen there so there is nothing good to blog about it. Today there is another playoff game that I plan to watch.

Superhero/supervillain

The other day I took a quiz that tells you what supurhero/supervillan you are. These were the results.

Superhero: Robin

Supervillian: The joker

It's kind of odd, because these two characters are normally against each other.

Take the superhero quiz

Take the villian quiz

Barney Fife and the Preamble to the Constitution

We had to memorize the preamble for social studies class. We had the choice of singing it but I didn't think that would be a good idea. My teacher also offered me and sam extra credit if we did a cheer that one girl made up (spits and all). I decided that too was a bad idea. So Instead I did it the boring way and just recited it.

Back in school

I'm back in school and I'm jealeous of all people (micheal) who had the day off. I was too tired to go to school and who likes school anyway.

Sorry I haven't been able to publish pictures on my blog. My camera is currently broken but hopfully it will be prepared soon.
