Modern Earth

This is the picture I had to make for Grafic Design Class. It's sort of depressing but I like how it turned out.
Lately, I've been running around frantically organising a "Quittich" team with my friend Eric for the fun day were having at my high school on friday. It's just like the real thing except with running instead of flying. The difficuly was no team could have no more than 4 of one gender (there are 7 total on a team). I spent the past two days making sure I got three girls on the team and that everyone knew the rules. Well whatever, I'm fairly certain it will be a lot of fun even if our team looses horribly, which will probabally happen since were all freshmen.

Playing my Cards (Another School day)

Today was like any other day but for fun I'll go through all of my classes from today.

I start in the morning. I get out of bed at 6:10. Some days I get up at 5:45 to take a shower (like every other day). Despite Audra taking an extra long time in the bathroom it was just like any other morning.

Advisory/Homeroom: When I got to school my feet were completely frozen from walking and it took almost all of Advisory to get them warmed up. My advisory teacher is Mrs. Hakewill. She nice I guess. We really don't do much. I mostly just talk with my friend Jared. Today however was reading day so I couldn't talk much.

Social Studies: We are doing a project on a person influenced American history. I'm doing General George S. Patton with my friends Sam W., Jared, and Eric. Today we did a little research for the project and the kid next to me was amazed by the fact that I could copy the whole screen by using the "Print Screen" button.

This is where it is. I actually used Print Screen to make this picture.

Health: This is supposed to be a family friendly blog so I'll skip telling you about this class.

Art: I originally took this class to get some high school credit but now I think that it wasn't worth it. The teacher is really weird and always seems to make our artwork worse by telling us to do things that aren't necessary. We all got excited only to later be disappointed when we thought she was going to be fired when she asked a girl if she was doing drugs. The girl got mad and complained to the principle.

French: I thought last year that this would be a fun class but I was horribly wrong. French is extremely boring. Yesterday and today, the sun was shinning just right through the window so I entertained my self by making shadows with my hand. Yesterday, Sam H. who sits in front of me stuck out a sheet of paper to make it clearer and Melissa, Sam H. and I all started laughing really hard.
A few weeks ago I said to Sam H. wouldn't it be cool if we learned kswahili in french class. He took me seriously and asked the teacher who said no. He always takes me seriously like when I said we could try to get our Art teacher fired again (joking) by saying that she put down a students work. (That is sort of true, it's just a little exaggerated.) He did it and complain to the principle only to get a detention. I really wasn't meaning for him to do it. Anyway, Sam H. has begging the teacher if we could learn Kswahili for weeks in til finally today he taught a the word Mbwa which means dog. I think he did it just to get him to stop begging.

Math: We did what we do everyday pretty much. We did our test review for the test tomorrow.

Earth science: We are doing a lab where we see the effect of erosion on rocks and my partner, David and I, and Sam W.'s partner Christina were competing to see who could get our rock the most eroded. Christina's probably the least involved in this. So far my Partner and I are ahead of them.

Lunch: Lately, the people who sit at our table, Jared, Eric, Sam W., Jacob, Alex, and me have all been combining our lunches and then picking from the pile. It makes our lunches a lot more interesting.

Earth science: Some days we have Earth science twice but it was mostly just a continuation of the last Earth science.

English: We went over our practice New York State ELA test. I usually don't like these tests cause the questions are usually poor.

I then stayed after to work on my Social Studies project with Jared, Eric, and Sam W. in the earth science.

Major edit

I'm sorry I haven't posted in a long time, It's hard to post when you don't have a lot of time and really there isn't much to right about. Most days its, I went to school (not much exciting things happens there), I go to swim practice (we swim), I go home and go my homework, I go to bed. How exciting.

Lately for Computer class we've been typing these really boring reports that the teacher already has written. So, I've decided to rewrite it. Here is the origonal.

-Respect is as old as life itself. But it has been deteriorated enormously in our society during the past twenty years. Sociologists tell us it’s because we’ve become too wrapped up in ourselves. We’re into our own thing; we look out for Number One. We don’t have time to give others the consideration which was once considered normal. That’s now the exception. Yet, respect is still the most important quality a human can have.
MANNERS
Call them anything you want—courtesy, respect, politeness, kindness, consideration, etc.—our manners are who we are. We’ll always be known by the way we treat others. And the way we treat others will always be a key factor in determining how successful we become.

Here is the new much better verison.

Respect is as old as life itself, you know, at least 10 years. But it has been deteriorated enormously in our society during the past twenty years. Yeah that’s right we are crushing the rights of the average citizen. We are to wrapped up in our selves. Don’t hug yourself when you could be huggin’ someone else. We’re into our own thing; we look out for Number One. For example: 13, 21, 111. All of these examples have ones in it. How about the number 6! Or 4! 4s and 6s shouldn’t be segregated man cause I have a dream. A dream that 6s and 4s can live and work together thus making 46s and 64s. We don’t have time to give others the consideration which was once considered normal. If you don’t have time make some. Try skipping homework and stuff. That’s now the exception. Yet, respect is still the most important quality a human, half ape that’s mother’s uncle was a rhino can have.
Manners
Call them anything you want if you dare but you must first sign a waiver and pay $ 96.67 in legal fees once you have experienced the full power of the dark side. Well whatever, the only point I’m trying to make is that manners is who we are. It’s a large blood cell that is located in the lower intestine. We’ll always be know the same way whether or not we have manners so just have manners just for the fun. It’s not like anyone else cares. Bottom line: The only way your opening that locked chest that I just left on your front porch is by getting this key from this guy named factor once you successfully determined his middle name.

That is how I have radically changed the perspective on respect.

Labled Knee

I wrote this on my knee during youth group the other night and as a result a ton of people at school have asked me why I labeled my knee. I labeled it so I have enough space in my brain to remember the more important things.

Recently, at lunch, at school, the people of our table have found a new source of entertainment. In exchange for food, we get my best friend, Sam, to go over to another table and do something weird. Today in exchange for some dry Cinnamon cereal, we got him to go over to the table with an apple, Sing "I've been dreaming of a true love's kiss." Take a bite of the apple and pretend to faint. I had a good laugh. Their responds, one of them came over and yelled at me and said to stop sending him over because he was getting annoying.

In English we have to write a memoir for school. So I was thinking. My blog consists of almost 80 memoirs. So what's stopping me from just copying one of my posts, not like I'm planning of doing that or anything.

Hit by Ike

Last night we had a pretty big storm with pretty high winds. However, it felt like a relief since it had been so hot yesterday. I woke up to find our yard covered with branches and the whole sidewalk from my house to the school was all covered in branches. At school everyone had their own story. Half the kids had lost power and one of my teachers had a tree fall on her husband's new car. It turned out that it was really Ike. As soon as it hit hit Houston it sped up to about 30 mph coming strait in our direction. Luckily it had died down to a tropical storm so the wind speed wasn't so high.

6 great facts about me

I will now amaze you all and post six facts about me cause I was tagged by aunt rachel.

I have simplefied the rules down to

1. write 6 facts about yourself

I hope no one minds.
1. I know most of the songs on my playlists so well that I often get side tracked while reading other peoples posts as I start to mouth the words.
2. I live in a broken home. Literally. Everything in our house seems broken. Camera, laptop keyboard, paint pealing off the side of the house, ext...
3. My best friend laughs at everything I say, even things that weren't meant to be funny.
4. I like to run, swim, and bike which gives me a great oppertunity to become a triatholete.
5. I talk to myself a lot. Sometimes even in public. For some reason it helps me think better. I often give myself directions telling how to do something or narrate my actions.
6. I walk/bike a mile no matter what (aside from broken feet and really cold weather) to school, rain or shine.
P.S. I'm really bad at spelling. This post I decided not to fix anything with spell check. Can you guess how many things the spell check said were spelled wrong?

First two school days

Yesterday and today were my first days of school. Overall they were fun and I have friends in a lot of my classes. However, I am not so happy that I have to wake up 3 hours earlier than usually and I am really looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow.

I have decided to tell you about each of my classes and their teachers.

Advisory/homeroom: Advisory is fun. However this year we have a lot of kids in it. There is about 30 kids and we have trouble seating everyone.
Mrs. Hakewell
Rating out of ten- 7

English: English is okay. I really don't have any friends in this class. It sounds like we are going to do some fun things.
Mrs. Rodzinka
Rating- 6

Social Studies: Again I really don't have any friends in this. However the teacher sounds really fun.
Teacher- Mr. Simpson
Rating- 7

French- It is almost exactly the same as my class last year and last year we had a lot of fun. However we have a different teacher.
Teacher- Mr. Roux
Rating- 8

Technology- I also had this teacher last year. However this year our teacher is pregnant and we have another teacher observing ready to fill in when she leaves. She's really nice but I don't have really any friends in it.
Teacher- (I currently am having a brain block and can't remember her name)
Rating- 7

Math- I think this years teacher is a lot easier to understand then my last years teacher. Last year the teacher went so fast I had no idea what the information was about.
Teacher- Mrs. Robbins
Rating- 7

Science-The teacher is really nice and has a good sense of humor. I also have Sam in this class.
Teacher- Mrs. Fusco
Rating-10

It's pretty good especially since the average rating is 7 so it's not like I hate any of the classes and I pretty much like them all.

Last day of summer

Today is the last day of summer and I still have a few supplies to get. In order to saver the moments of summer we had left, Sam and I slept out in a tent in Sam's backyard and watched the third Pirates of the Caribbean movie.

Cross country started yesterday, and because of School, homework, cross country and various youth groups it will be harder to post. I will post when I can but I won't be able to post on a lot of Tuesdays, Thursdays and some Fridays.

Above

I was surfing our family camera, wondering what to post when I found this picture. It's pretty cool.

Today, I went to visit the school to get my schedule since school starts in a week and discovered that I am only going to have lunch every other day. This really annoyed me but whatever. I hope to see if I can fix it but I'm not sure if I can. I really don't want to take another advanced course on top of what I already have. Especially if I'm missing lunch.

$100 Calculator. Yikes

Today, Mom picked up my calculator that I needed for Math. It costed just under a hundred dollars because I needed one that was higher tech since I am taking a 9th grade math course or Algebra 1. I'm not so sure yet what made it cost a 100 dollars compared to the regular 15 dollars. I wonder if all the teachers sat together and tried to figure how to make it as difficult as they can for the kids. We never even use half the buttons on the device. Like for instance, I don't know what the tan, the sin, or the cos buttons do. Oh well maybe I'll learn about it this year.

My (school) Day

Homeroom: Mr. Steedman- Today was reading day so I read what I have to read for an English project. I don't much like reading days in Homeroom.

Period 1: Science, Mrs. Knapp- Took notes on the endocrine system. Not very exciting. Then we did a worksheet for review. Apparently Mrs. Knapp had forgotten the packets we were suppose to do then. It's funny, how come we as students get in trouble when we forget things, but when a teacher does, not so much. I guess this is an exception because our teacher has a broken foot.

Period 2: Health, Mrs. Ellis- BORING. Health is extremely dull. We do nothing but learn about how we shouldn't do drugs and how we're supposed to keep our body healthy. Today we basically just watched a movie on some guy who made the right decision in choosing not to do cocaine.

Period 3: Math, Mrs. Whitney- We once again sat in the same seats as we have been sitting in all year. All the students really want a seat change. I'm kind of tired of sitting in back of a kid name Justin, who's nice and all, but when it comes time to pass back papers. He always holds the papers out towards me, but as soon as I'm about to grab it he jerks the papers away. This process continues until the rest of my row gets irritated because they haven't received their papers yet.

Period 4: Art, Mr. Steedman- I finally finished my clay sculpture of a gumball machine. Meanwhile the kid next to me was having a lot of difficulty rolling out his clay. Once again Melissa found some way to be mad at me. Today I guess she found to reasons. First, I had put to much dry clay in our table's slip bowl and second, I accidentally spilled dirty water on to the table that she had just clean because another kid named Tyler accidental knocked the bowl out of my hand.

Period 5: Electronic Music, Mr. Crystal- We learned about dimentation(is that spell right) today. I found out that Jared broke his arm. I think he discovered it because he broke my foot in gym class earlier this year. JK LOL. I put on of my songs into a really cool sequence so it sounds almost like a real song.

Period 6: Lunch, the lunch ladies- I had a pretty small lunch today. I'm starting to get annoyed of Sam's little "jokes" he plays on me. Today he brought me over to the vending machine and ask what I wanted. I replied "Thanks man, I guess I'll have some goldfish." He put the money into the machine and ordered something different. Apparently he only wanted to know what I wanted.

Period 7: Social studies, Mrs. Mariano- We took a test to day and got sit where ever we wanted. Melissa sat behind me. I was a little scared that she would shake my chair like she always does but she promised me that she would not shake my chair and she said that it would be bad for her brown, cowboy boots that she was wearing. The test was easy. I finished fairly early into class. As soon as I was finished I pulled out a piece of paper to draw on. I wasn't sure what to draw but remarkably I noticed that my chair was shaking. I took the piece of paper that I was going to draw on and wrote on the paper "You promised." I then set it on her desk. No reply, she just kept shaking. Finally I took the piece of paper back and drew a big fat arrow pointing to the text and set it back on her desk. No reply, she just kept shaking. I took the piece of paper back a wrote on the paper "I thought you didn't want to ruin those boots" and I set it back on her desk. She took the paper and wrote something in yellow highlighter about how she was missing her pink. I was confused at this and drew a question mark next to that text. I then wrote "I feel like I'm sitting on top of a washing machine. I bet even Brittney (who was sitting in front of me) can feel your shaking." She wrote underneath "Poor Brittney, I bet if you took your feet off her basket she wouldn't feel anything." When I read this I tried so hard not to laugh. It was so funny. It probably doesn't seem funny to those who are reading this but it seemed funny then. I bet the whole time I was being shaked, Brittany thought I was the one the one shaking her.

Period 8: English, Mrs. Gerstner- We talked about a community read that we are going to read. I never really ever liked community reads. They are really boring. Then Mrs. Gerstner passed papers to the people in each row who were suppose to hand them back to the person behind them. And the person in back of them would pass them to the person in back of them and so on. I again it that class am assined to sit in back of Justin. He again gave me troubles. I decided to just lunge at the papers and get them. That way I wouldn't have to wait until he got bored of his little game. I did just that except Mrs. Gerstner saw me. She glared at me and told me " I'm sure if you were mature enough to just ask him nicely for the papers he would give them to you." I turned and grinned at him and said "Sure you would Justin."

Period 9: French, Mrs. White- Mrs. White has really mad today because her last class was really bad. Apparently one girl in her last class broke another girls pencil because she was poking her. Mrs. White got mad and sent them to the office. She is always complaining about that class.

The end- For now.

Back in school

I'm back in school and I'm jealeous of all people (micheal) who had the day off. I was too tired to go to school and who likes school anyway.

Sorry I haven't been able to publish pictures on my blog. My camera is currently broken but hopfully it will be prepared soon.
