Connected

Recently I've been reading the book of Hebrews in the New Testament. It's about a Pastor of an early church in Isreal who is trying to convince the members of the church about the benifits we get from Jesus dying on the cross. Many times he compares Jesus to the high priest. Normally throughout Jewish history the high priest would be the connection between God and the isrealites. So in a way Jesus sacrifed himself, he could do that because he hadn't comminted any sins, so he could take the place of the high priest and be our connection.

I think its great too! Steven and Michael have read books of the Bible before, but never Hebrews. They normally use a devotional book along with a Bible reading. I'm glad you're enjoying Hebrews!
